Staff
Stuart MolloyDirector
Stuart has been the driving force behind SJM over the last 10 years. He has a wealth of building knowledge and has been directly involved in the building trade for 22 years. He has been raised around the building trade all his life, infact he is now a 3rd generation Bricklayer/Stone mason as his father and his father where before him.
Having worked for his family and many other contractors, Stuart decided to set up SJM 10 years ago and has managed & delivered over 70 projects over this period of time, as well as developed a multitude of still sets and is responsible for all contract negotiations and management, Buying, Health & Safety, as well as Quantity servings and pricing, in fact he likes to over-see all aspects of a contract from the office, right down to the site.
His friendly attitude, mixed with a driving ambition, have seen the company grow and even in this difficult economic climate, SJM have still managed to produce its best two years trading so far.
Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in brickwork and also holding SSSTS & SMSTS qualification, Stuart is an asset to any contract and his wealth of knowledge and contacts in the construction industry as a whole is second to none.
Gillian Crossly
Director
Gillian joined the company in 2011 starting as a company Secretary and is responsible for Accounts & invoicing as well as arranging meetings. With a full Diploma in nursing Gillian also attends to heath and safety issues around the company.
Since arriving she has been a true asset to the company and in 2011 bought up 20% of the company to become joint director and is now responsible for overseeing contract negotiations and signings.
Andrew Schofield & Jill Bains
Accountants Part time
Jill is responsable for over-seeing the monthly bookkeeping and helps with Tax and VAT returns on a monthly basis. She has worked for SJM for 10 years and is a integral member of the team. Andrew offers a wealth of business knowledge on any aspect of business. He has only been working for SJM for 12 months but with 35 years business experience he has become a great asset.
Tim Kelly
Safety Officer
Tim has worked with SJM & S.Molloy for over 7 years working closly to achieve a high standard of safety and is responsable for all of SJM's health and safety isues, training, site and company safty policies as well as sitting in on contract signings and meetings, he is truly a credit to us, he is qualified in Tech IOSH, MEBOSH OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY, IRCA QMS, IRCA EMS, IRCA H&SMS Lead Auditor & First Aid Instructor.
Martin Hall
Part Time QS
SJM Construction also uses freelance QS's to help with the larger contracts and to date has connections with 3 contractors. Martin is used most frequently, depending on the workload of S.Molloy we can sometimes take them on a 6 month short term contract - this he been the case over the last 2 years.
Joe Henry/Joe Feather
SSSTS & SMSTS Trained Site Foremen
Joe Henry & Joe Feather have worked with SJM Construction & S.Molloy For over 20 years between them. Joe Henry was originally trained up by S.Molloy as a apprentice bricklayer. Joe has built up a good understanding of what is expected onsite and is responsible for giving tool box talks and shopfloor site safety as well as managing the site. He has become known as a trusted pair of hands and is always found willing to help and deliver projects to high standard.
Joe Feather has not been at the company as long as Joe Henry, but he also has a wealth of experience and is one of the best young bricklayers Mr S.Molloy has seen come to the company in recent years. He has 12 years experience in the trade and is capable of managing and setting out large scale contracts and is also a credit to the company.
